M&G launches European equity fund
The new fund will be managed by Richard Halle.

M&G is launching a new European-focused equity fund, the firm has announced this morning.
The new M&G European ex-UK fund will be managed by Richard Halle, who also manages the M&G Global Strategic Value and the M&G North American Value funds.
The strategy will invest in inexpensive, out-of-favour European companies that are not trading at their true value through a combination of value-focused screening and qualitative assessments.
It will aim to provide investors with capital growth and income higher than the FTSE World Europe ex-UK index over five years.
Halle said: “European equities are currently trading at a significant discount to their US counterparts in almost every sector, which is very encouraging for investors.”
“As investor interest refocuses on fundamentals and structural reforms creating a more supportive environment for value investing, now is a very exciting time for investing in Europe.”
This news follows the launch of M&G India earlier this month and the M&G China fund in September 2024.
