The AIM-traded firm said the agreement, executed with the Nharnuwangga Wajarri and Ngarlawangga people through the Jidi Jidi Aboriginal Corporation, established a framework for collaboration from early-stage reconnaissance through to orebody development.

It said the agreement would ensure the protection of Aboriginal sites and Country while facilitating open consultation and site clearances as required throughout the exploration process.

The company said it would also allow it to meet regulatory obligations, and provide long-term clarity for stakeholder engagement across the full term of the Juno Project licences.

“I would like to thank the Nharnuwangga Wajarri and Ngarlawangga people as well as the Jidi Jidi Aboriginal Corporation for their constructive engagement and trust, and we look forward to a long-term partnership that creates value for all stakeholders while protecting country,” said Geo’s chief commercial officer Azib Khan.

“Executing the Heritage Agreement is a significant milestone for Geo and for the Juno Project.

“With this clear and collaborative framework in place, we aim to accelerate our work programme whilst continuing to meet the highest environmental and cultural-heritage standards.”

At 1403 BST, shares in Geo Exploration were up 0.64% at 0.14p.
