Appointment of Group Acquisitions Executive

Judges Scientific, the group focused on acquiring and developing companies in the scientific instrument sector, is pleased to announce the appointment of Rik Armitage as Group Acquisitions Executive with immediate effect.

Rik will support David Cicurel, CEO of Judges, as the Group continues to execute its strategy, further build its capacity to grow the pipeline of potential deals and maintain its disciplined acquisition process. He will join the Group's recently formed Executive Committee.

Rik has over thirty years' experience in strategy and M&A in manufacturing and technology businesses. He was most recently with Oxford Instruments plc where, since 2020, he was Head of Corporate Development and helped identify and complete three acquisitions in laboratory instruments and scientific cameras. Prior to this, Rik spent 14 years with the defence company Chemring Group plc, where he implemented an acquisition-based growth and diversification strategy, completing twelve acquisitions in energetic materials and defence electronics across the UK, Europe and US.
