Francis, the spouse of chief executive officer Steve Francis, sold the shares on Thursday at an average price of 48.80p each, for a total value of £39,772.
Her disposal was however immediately followed by the purchase of the same number of shares by the CEO through his ISA.
Following that purchase, Mr. Francis's beneficial interest in SIG was unchanged at 815,769 shares.
Back in October, SIG stated full-year underlying operating profits were set to be ahead of current market expectations despite supply issues, following continued strong sales momentum.
As of 1620 GMT, SIG shares were up 0.25% at 48.52p.
